Out-of-State Owners Welcome

You Don't Have to Be There

Whether you're a Dagsboro resident who wants to be present during the work, or a property owner who needs repairs handled while you're away, the process at KD Drywall N Paint is built to work well in either situation. The communication is the same, the documentation is the same, and the quality of the finished work doesn't change based on whether you're on-site or not.

For owners who manage their property remotely, in some cases an estimate can be provided from photos, but a site visit may be needed depending on the scope — all documentation is handled by email, and progress photos are sent throughout the project. For those who are local and want to be hands-on, we're easy to work with and keep communication clear at every stage.

Photo-Based Estimates

Depending on the scope, an estimate can sometimes be provided from photos — though a site visit may be needed to assess certain issues in person.

Written Estimates by Email

Every estimate is delivered in writing before any work begins. You have a clear record of scope and cost.

Progress & Completion Photos

Photos are sent throughout the project so you can follow along and see the finished result without being present.

Property Manager Coordination

We work directly with your property manager or rental management company for scheduling and access.

From older homes near the town center to newer construction on the surrounding roads, every Dagsboro property we work on gets the same level of care — wherever the owner happens to be.

Named for a Revolutionary War Hero

The History of Dagsboro, Delaware

Dagsboro's origins reach back to approximately 1630, when a group of Blackfoot Indians migrated south from New Jersey and established a village on a tributary of the Indian River. English settlers eventually found their way to the area, and the settlement retained the name Blackfoot Town as the indigenous population gradually moved toward the Nanticoke River. The town's modern identity began to take shape in 1774, when William Penn granted a tract of land that included Blackfoot Town to General John Dagsworthy — a veteran of both the French and Indian War and the American Revolution. The settlement was renamed Dagsborough in his honor, and eventually shortened to its current spelling of Dagsboro.

Prince George's Chapel, built in 1755 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, stands as one of the oldest surviving structures in the area and a testament to the community's long history. The Clayton Theatre — for many years the last single-screen theater in Delaware to show first-run movies — has been a cultural anchor for the town. Dagsboro is governed by a five-person Town Council and remains a close-knit community at the center of Sussex County's inland landscape.

General John Dagsworthy, for whom the town is named, served in both the French and Indian War and the American Revolutionary War. He is one of a number of Revolutionary War figures whose names are preserved in Sussex County's town names — a reminder of how directly the region's communities were shaped by the founding era of American history.

Yes. Dagsboro has a mix of older residential properties and newer construction. Older homes often have plaster walls, settling cracks, or original textures that require careful matching. Newer homes may need repairs as the structure settles in its first few years. We handle both.

Yes. Plaster walls require a different approach than standard drywall — the repair material, technique, and finishing process all differ. We work with plaster in older homes and take care to match the texture and finish of the surrounding surface so repairs are invisible.
